Peran Bimbingan Perkawinan Terhadap Kesadaran Hukum Perkawinan Bagi Calon Pengantin Oleh Kementerian Agama Kota Lhokseumawe

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Role of Marriage Guidance Against Awareness of Marriage Law for Prospective Brides by the Ministry of Lhokseumawe City". This research was motivated by the lack of legal awareness of marriage guidance in Lhokseumawe City, so that it was allegedly one of the reasons for the increase in the divorce rate in Lhokseumawe City. For this reason, in answering these problems, the formulation of the problem in this study is what is the role of marriage guidance in forming awareness of marriage law for prospective brides by the Ministry of Religion of Lhokseumawe City and what solutions are taken by the Ministry of Religion of Lhokseumawe City in increasing awareness of marriage law for prospective brides. This type of research is qualitative research with a field approach. The data collection method used is the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the role of the Ministry of Religion of Lhokseumawe City is in providing directions so that the bride and groom are better prepared in building a household, namely carrying out counseling on religious and moral development, improving the quality of marriage with the aim of forming a prosperous family, and carrying out coaching for prospective brides to get provisions to go home sakinah, mawaddah and warahmah stairs. Based on interviews with extension workers from the Ministry of Religion and Catin it can be seen that the activities carried out by agency extension workers have been able to minimize the potential for divorce so that they are categorized as quite effective, although not optimal, so as to be able to reduce the divorce rate in Lhokseumawe City. Some of the solutions adopted by the Ministry of Religion of Lhokseumawe City in increasing legal awareness internally include: maximizing the time for conducting marriage guidance, presenting speakers who are experts in their respective fields, outreach and improving facilities and infrastructure.
