Abstract

The communicative method is a language method that emphasizes mastery of language skills rather than language structure. This study aims to describe the application of communicative methods through various learning methods in language to improve language skills. The method used in this research is a library research and literature review methods, namely by searching for various literatures in the form of books or journal articles, both domestic journals and international journals. The results of this study indicate that learning methods based on communicative methods are methods that emphasize listening and speaking skills. The learning objectives to be achieved through various methods are so that students can communicate with the language being studied anytime and anywhere which is in accordance with the nature of language learning.
