Abstract

As globalization affects national development, it correlates with an increased demand for women's active role in the economic sector. These dual roles, as professionals and as mothers or wives, create dilemmas in the family context. This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the role of career women in parenting patterns. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and interviews and analyzed using triangulation methods. This research comparatively explores the social situation between family and society. The results showed that career women can guarantee a better future for their children through better access to education. However, there are shortcomings in aspects of children's character development, particularly in communication skills and openness to information. Career women also tend to rely on childcare services. In contrast, women who are housewives are not always able to be closely involved with their children. Especially for women who are not mentally ready for marriage, they tend to be less productive.
